Time out from the world.

I thought it would be rather appropriate to post this blog entry in a bold font.
Reason being: It's a fairly bold subject and I'm going to be very bold about it in my writing. . .

There's nothing wrong with masturbation. Everybody does it. If there is one person on the planet who tells the truth when they say "I don't ever" then that person needs to be checked out mentally (or already is).

Masturbation is comfort. Just like smoking, but it doesn't give you a mouth like an ashtray (though it does dry you out). It's a mixture of things really. It's a release of sexual frustration but also a release from existence: It's like a timeout from the world.

Why shouldn't people masturbate? It's a harmless activity that can make someones day. Not mine, so much. . . but someones: I have more pressing things to consume my time, and I have a wonderful girlfriend who makes my year whenever I see her. My girlfriend and I have a very healthy understanding of eachothers needs and wants. But this is not to say that masturbation becomes a no-go area!

Look at it this way: If sex was not enjoyable, then we would have no desire to have sex whatsoever. We would not have done it however far back it became a necessity to do it. Therefore we would never have procreated. Masturbation is just a product of this, which is something that I feel should be acknowledged when considering just how dirty or unnecessary the act itself is deemed to be.

What do I think about smoking?

I need to get a few opinions off my chest:

No matter what anyone else might believe about me, I do like to socialise.

When I'm standing at a bar and I'm waiting ages to be served, the last thing I'm eager for is somebody standing next to or behind me puffing away like a chimney and smothering me with their cigarette stink: it severely pisses me off! It's something thats off-putting at the thought of going out to a bar or whatever.

When I'm walking down the street and someone crosses the road just in time to get in front of me on the pavement and exhales a mushroom cloud for the gentle breeze to carry over my face and into my lungs, I feel like pushing that someone back into the road!

And what about this 'Smoking-Non-Smoking' thing you get when you enter a restaurant!: Unless there's some kind of separate dining room for the lung-smotherers, WE'RE ALL SMOKING THEIR S**T! Eating out at a restaurant sometimes becomes like eating out of an ashtray! It stinks and tastes real bad!

I cannot WAIT for the smoking ban in certain public areas to be enforced in the summer! I think smoking needs to be abolished! In my eyes, the only positive thing to come from smoking is the cool, atmospheric and mysterious look it afforded characters in the noir and gangster genres of film.

Thats a positive.

Otherwise, I can't see any real use for myself. Yes, I can understand certain positives about the way it makes the smoker feel; the calming relaxation it affords the inhaler. But the whole chain smoking thing really gets to me: what a waste of life and money!

My girlfriend, Christine, doesn't smoke. I love her no matter what, but if she was a smoker; I'd probably feel that little bit less attracted to her. And I know it works the other way around. It's weird, but there it is. It's off-putting.

Smoking kills. Smoking smells. Smoking repels, repulses and swells with a certain sense of 'I don't give a sh*t about others'.

So if you smoke; give up or smoke less please. If you don't; great, just don't start. Think of the money you're paying someone to kill you slowly.
